GHETTO PRINCE NAMED 2006 HIP HOP ARTIST OF THE YEAR

Ghetto Prince (AKA Edward Robinson) is now New Artist Radio’s 2006 Hip Hop Artist of the Year. In an August 4 awards show in Nashville, Ghetto Prince received the award from the multi-genre- radio station, which has recently been requested to air on regular radio stations in Japan, China and Moscow.  New Artist Radio (NAR) is becoming the radio voice for independent musicians around the globe as it is an online radio station dedicated to independent artists. With the reach NAR has world wide, Ghetto Prince feels this award is a true honor.

“I feel this is amazing. Winning this award, gave me the opportunity to demonstrate that Hip Hop dwells in everyone and that non-hip-hoppers enjoy my art and talent. I was able to help them see that Hip Hop lives inside of them,” said Ghetto Prince.

Ghetto Prince Productions (GPP) presents Hip Hop in a fresh, new way with artists and lyrics which cross the boundaries of street, consciousness with everything in between. GPP crosses genres and keeps Hip Hop as its root, with each club-thumpin’ beat. “Puttin It Down For Your Town: The New Beginning” showcases the essence of Hip Hop as it blends smoothly with Jazz, CLassic Rock, Alternative, Spoken Word, Reggae, R&B and of course, Rap. There’s also a Hip Hop mother-son act that can cross any generation gap. Each of these 14 tracks has its own personality, making the CD appeal to everyone.

Ghetto Prince Productions “Puttin It Down For Your Town: The New Beginning” is available through CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com/cd/ghettoprince). Singles are available for download at iTunes, MusicIsHere, MusicNet, Napster, and other digital download stores.

In addition to “Puttin It Down For Your Town: The New Beginning,” GPP Music will be releasing a single later this month and “Puttin It Down For Your Town: The Beginning Has Begun” later this year. The sophomore album will feature artists from the first release as well as new talent.
